Can Today’s so called Patriots handle what Patriots went through from 1776-1783 ?
May we never forget what it cost our forefathers to secure our freedoms that we today are willing to sell for a few pieces of silver. How many patriots today know of the over 30,000 American patriots who were imprisoned by the British in and around NY?
How many know that close to 11,000 died on prison ships, sugar houses, and converted churches that became prisons? When we see posts and blogs about how today’s patriot and Tea Party members are as our forefathers were back then, you have to laugh. Who among these new patriots would be able to suffer even under 10% of what they suffered? Many in today’s movement are just posers. Many of those prisons were from the Battle of Brooklyn aka Long Island and the Battle of Fort Washington. When these patriots were given a chance to gain their freedom by joining the British Army less than 1% joined up. Listen to a small piece of the suffering that real patriots went to. then say to yourself and your Tea Party and 2A friends, would you be able to go through what they did over the same period of time?
