FULL REPEAL bill of SAFE law in both the Houses. Assemblyman Di Pietro’s bill is A6238 and Senator Kathy Marchione has put forth a companion bill in the Senate!
ACTION ALERT: We now have a FULL REPEAL bill in both the Assembly and Senate. Assemblyman Dave DiPietro’s bill is A6238 and Kathy Marchione has put forth a companion bill in the Senate!
Note that this bill will not come to a vote unless a Democratic assemblyman co-sponsors the bill. There were only 8 Dem assemblymen to vote against the NY SAFE Act the first time: Brindisi, Gabryszak, Gunther, Kearns, Lupardo, Magee, , Schimminger, and Skoufis. Call their offices and ask them to co-sponsor A06238!

Assemblyman David DiPietro and Senator Kathy Marchinoe have both introduced twin Bills calling for the full repeal of NY SAFE Act.
Below is the text of the Bill. As soon as I get the list of co sponsors in the senate I will post.
The pressure now will be building to contact every Senator and Assembly member to get this full repeal Bill to the floor for a vote. The most pressure will be applied to the Senate where they have been ignoring the people in this state and where it should be easiest to do so. We have been saying that just because they sign on a co sponsor and do not push the Bill to the floor for a vote is simply pandering. We are far beyond the pandering as opposition to the SAFE Act has been building across 51 of the 62 counties in NY State.
This is the Bill submitted by DiPietro A06238 in the Assembly and the same Bill has been introduced in the Senate by Marchione. bill no. S5591
